Everything you need to progress

48 structured lessons

From the acoustic origins of the scale to the techniques of the great composers — five progressive levels covering classical harmony, jazz, impressionism and composition.

Interactive SATB exercises

Place notes on the staves voice by voice. Harmonic validation detects parallel fifths, voice crossings and range errors in real time.

Immediate feedback

Every note you place is analysed against the rules of tonal counterpoint. You learn from your mistakes the moment you make them.

High-quality audio

High-fidelity sampled piano. Hear every chord, every progression, every voicing — from Bach's cadences to jazz tritone substitutions.

Our approach

Free, no strings attached

Access to knowledge should not depend on what you can afford.

Harmonia was born in a classroom, not in a business plan. The 48 courses, the 850 corrected exercises and the 48 repertoire pieces analysed bar by bar are open to everyone, with no subscription and no credit card: students, teachers, self-taught musicians, the merely curious.

Building and hosting such a tool does cost money. That cost is covered by the institutions that take a licence for their classes, and by the people who choose to contribute. Never by advertising, never by selling data, never by holding a chapter hostage to force a payment.
